Jon,
I'm not an expert but I believe the New Idea tractor was manufactured by
GE and simply painted and badged as a New Idea. The Models according to
the books I have were EGT 80, 100, 120 and 150. Mine is an EGT 150.
P.S. I'm embarrassed about my answer to the axle question. After closer
inspection (i.e. LOOKING at it)...mine also has the brackets. Good thing
I didn't get out the torch.
