Re: games and skating in Dracut

Update - ice is probably safe, but the surface is so soft it probably won't be suitable for skating.

Oh well.

Looks like there may be some opportunity for skating, depending on how long the rain holds off.  Someone is out ice-fishing today, told me yesterday the ice was 4.5" thick.
I'll measure the ice thickness again in the morning.

Assuming there is some interest in games, could a few people propose and bring a few board games?  I may or may not be able to find a chess board, backgammon board, and playing cards (maybe for bridge or "nerts")

Judging from today, it might also be good snow sculpture weather tomorrow, up until the rain starts.  8-(

Please join us at 70 Pine Tree Lane on Saturday January 25, for skating, games, camaraderie, extensive snacks, and maybe even hand-bells.

Skating is weather dependent, of course.

And if it is particularly nice, there is the option of a small bon-fire.

Arrive anytime after 1:00 pm or so.  Bring one or two favorite games, hand-bells if that appeals to you (we have one set of 8).

I've added a column to the ringing spreadsheet, but don't worry too much if you don't know in advance whether you will show up.

Hope you can make it!
