Fwd: Reciprocity Collaborative, well, collaboration!

Hi! Does this work for people? I will be following up with people directly, but hopefully we can assemble 8 ringers for the 5th (I will not be one, because I’ll be somewhere on the road), around 10a?

Hey Ricky! We were just thinking about you - are your ears burning?

Would it help the push if we connected it to a date? We'd like to propose a 10a meet on October 5 before your 11a rehearsal, and a morning shoot on Saturday the 19th, with the 26th as a 'rain date'. Coffee and muffins on us afterwards. What do you think?

We're also open to any way that gathering 8 is possible within the community for the shoot - ringer adjacent folks and partners are welcome! :) If need be we can also collect some of our peeps from the outside, though ideally of course we'd love to keep the container as purely 'ringer' as possible.

Thank you so much for keeping on! We can't wait to work with you.

Hi! I’m still not up to 8, but I still have outstanding requests.

Practices are every Saturday, but not this upcoming one (which, come to think of it, may be why you left it out?), due to a thing at Kent.

Hi Ricky,

Just checking back in on the tally. //when are your upcoming practices so we can definitely pencil those in as possibilities? The windows in the sanctuary are going to get replaced as soon as the end of September so we're eager to boogie before the scaffolding goes up.

All the best,

Jenna

Hi Ricky,

No worries, you're amazing for rallying as much as you have to-date.

That's the plan, bingo! And makes sense about consistency of people - as long as folks feel comfortable sharing the information with someone else/someone who is coming in for take 2 is good just jumping in, it should be all good.

Hope you're having a great weekend, and can't wait to get shooting!

Hi! As you’ve probably guessed, I don’t have 8 people for tomorrow. I am starting to get some responses, so I will hopefully be able to come up with some dates by mid next week.

The plan would be first to meet for a bit before a regular practice, and then record part (or all) of that practice, and then meet again for the early morning shoot?

(I can’t guarantee that we will have consecutive practices; but I’ll try. We may also need to have slightly different groups of people for the recording and the performing?)

Because of the massive cruise ship tour groups etc, we only have full access of the sanctuary before opening hours- thus, the early bird call. We know this is brutal, but we think the magic of what this collaboration can be will be worth it.

One of our prompts that we're interested in capturing is something we call a 'Pew Slide', and we're intrigued to see overlapping heads in one aisle of box pews from the perspective of the back of the sanctuary. An example can be seen here, and a solo version here.

We'd instead like to directly correlate it with a/some methods (as there are 8 regular sized box pews per aisle!), using slight physical variations of sliding to correlate with the bells ringing. Ideally, we would edit the video so the pew slide would be a physical representation of the method as you're hearing it.
