Re: [m-hb] Re: Vote to Approve MIT Constitution of 2018

Hi Ricky!

Thank you for bringing this up. I've read it carefully and it made sense to me. It includes the conjunction "or" and I'm assuming when there isn't a numerical value, at least one officer is the assumption.

In the voting process, if you feel this weighs more than to approve, you may vote "No" and it will ask you why you didn't approve.

To everyone else, you may edit your response to change to your answer to No if you feel what Ricky brought up is important. If there is a 1/3 or more disapproval, then we shall submit an updated draft with the corrections that are agreed on.

Joseph Gurkan

Hi! I’m really sorry — I was busy stressing about moving when you sent out the draft, so I didn’t read it as closely as possible.

II.A.1 is a touch unclear: how many of the officers are required to agree to enroll an active member? If it’s only one, I would suggest the sentence read “… at the discretion of any one of the President, …” (or, of course, “… any two of …”, etc.).

If everyone else thinks that this clause is clear, and I’m just imagining things, then let me know and I’ll go ahead and vote for this version.

After hearing people's thoughts and comments, we've taken them into account and edited the document as such. Now it is time to vote for the approval of the second version of the 2018 constitution (2018-B).
