The Lowell House at Harvard is holding an event entitled, "Our Singing Icons: 1930-2008," this week. On Thursday May 1 at 8 PM in the Thompson Room, The Barker Center there will be a multimedia presentation on the project to return the Russian Bells to their home at the Danilov Monastery in Moscow. On Friday through Sunday, May 2-4, from Noon to 8 PM in the Tower Room of The Lowell House there will be an exhibit on the history of the bells and the casting of the new ones for The Lowell House. On Sunday, May 4, from Noon to 1 PM in the Junior Common Room at The Lowell House members of the bell ringing society will talk about their training in the art of bell ringing in Moscow. From 1 PM to 2 PM in The Lowell House Bell Tower there will be a bell ringing concert. A limited number of visitors will be welcome in the tower. At 3 PM, the Last Minute Orchestra will play its annual rendition of the 1812 Overature with the Lowell Bells.
