[Assistant-faculty] Tufts Collaborates! Seed Grant Announcement

Office of the Provost

Seed Grant Program Opportunities

To support the establishment of new research collaborations at Tufts University, a new seed grant program, Tufts Collaborates!, was established in December 2010.  The goal of this seed grant program was to ignite new collaborations among faculty members across disciplines.  Through this new program, the University funded 18 seed grants during the 2011 – 2012 academic year for activities that broke new ground.

The Office of the Vice Provost is now pleased to announce its request for applications for competitive seed grants representing interfaculty research for activities during the 2012 – 2013 academic year through a second round of Tufts Collaborates!

Seed grant awards are expected to range from $500 to $50,000.  A peer-review process will evaluate each proposal for its specific merit, potential for impact, and the degree to which the proposal adheres to the goals of the seed grant program.

Attached are submission guidelines, and submission and budget forms to be used for this seed grant program.

Questions regarding the Tufts Collaborates! grants may be directed to Dr. Kirby Johnson in the Office of the Vice Provost at collaborates tufts edu.

The deadline for proposal submissions is January 27, 2012.
