Hi all, It looks like National Grid is on target to do the full shut down this weekend, Sunday, as discussed. Please plan accordingly and shut down all computers and equipment so as to ensure protection from surges when

Hi Shannon, National Grid is on target to be able to do this shutdown this weekend, however, they have come to me with a difficult situation. Some years ago, a local National Grid employee was killed on the job in a horrible
accident. Each year, they do a fund raising golf tournament in his memory. The event is scheduled for this Saturday and most National Grid employees, particularly the ones that would be doing the work on Saturday, attend the event. National Grid proposes to do the work on Sunday, July 31st instead of Saturday. If we cannot accommodate this, they will pull a crew in from a different area. Can your department manage the Sunday
shutdown? Everything else about the day would stay the same. Facilities would be on-site to restart building systems, the generator will be there to handle critical loads etc. Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Thanks! Betsy |
