Re: [tg] bulk ordering of covid tests

Seems like it's probably reasonable to ask for the minimum order and see what we get. If they're expiring soon enough, we could also take them to Tuesday and get rid of some there.

(Ginda+Brian might also be able to use some for fall challenge weekend? I don't know if we could say "we can use 200 more if they don't expire until at least November".)

My guess is that this is an attempt to dispose of the remaining stockpile

free distribution portal to individuals stayed open another month, closing

I'll note that the last time I ordered from the government, instead of the
usual set of two two-packs, I got a single
box of 5 tests, with an expiration date in July.  And the expiration dates seem to
be "real" nowadays, as
opposed to the overly conservative ones from earlier batches.

But it certainly looks like the sky's the limit for ordering--the form
mentioned in the article Judy referenced
asks if the warehouse for delivery can accept 53-foot trailers!

On some of the pages and posts discussing this they said that all

300 is a lot, especially if they're going to expire soon. Which we
don't know. (One post said the recent ones they got expire in July.) I
suppose one could go around to
the places that give them out for free and add to their piles!
