[SOS-Boston] Next meeting, Tues Aug 11

Hello everyone

The next meeting is tomorrow at 7:00, there wasn't anyone last week, but in an odd way it's just making me dig my heels in deeper, ha.

FYI, I visited a detox center last week and talked to 20-25 people just through detox.  They all looked beaten and tired, some looked angry, others bored, others kind of just resigned.  I think I learned as much from them as they learned from me.  Was surprised to see that many of them had never even been to a meeting (AA/NA or otherwise), and that for many of those who had been to AA/NA, the spiritual aspect didn't really resonate (ok that wasn't so surprising).

If there are any treatment professionals on this list who would like me to come out and talk to them or a group of people, I would be happy to do so.  Last week was good for me in terms of "honing" my message.  SOS/Lifering/Whatever needs to be something more/better than "something other than AA/NA".
