[Palindrome] We have a leader!
Al DeSuda (also known as Tom Weisswange to those who are not in the
National Puzzlers' League (see www.puzzlers.org)) has graciously and
bravely volunteered to be our team's leader for the upcoming 2005 MIT
Mystery Hunt!
I'm delighted. Not only will I get to take a break after 20+ years of
team coordination, but Al will be a great leader. As team oldcomers know,
he's been a part of this team for years, and is already a team co-leader
in those years when we run the Hunt.
Furthermore, he's created and run, with others and on his own, a sizeable
number of other Mystery-Hunt like games. He's intimately familiar with
the wide range of things that the Hunt Masters could throw at us.
Finally, as someone who's spent scores of hours with him, doing difficult
puzzles on little sleep, I can vouch for his impressive ability, under the
most stressful of situations, to keep his wits *and* his sense of humor.
A good leader, a good companion, and a good guy.
