Dear Tufts Neutrino Enthusiasts, We will meet as per usual this Friday (November 14th) at 1:00 pm. As is our tradition, sandwiches and beverages will be available for in-person attendees. Time at the beginning of this meeting is allotted to thesis analysis updates and discussion. We will then hear a practice Talk by Jessie Micallef
for a colloquium she will give at Univ. Rochester on Nov. 19th Entitled ``Finding Neutrinos: Catching Neutrinos using Neural Networks”. Cullen Sullivan was the Tufts in-person participant in last week’s NOvA Collaboration meeting at Fermilab. We’ll hear from him – most likely next week – concerning developments at the Meeting which our group could usefully discuss. Please note that this Friday’s Dept Colloquium contains elements that will surely be of interest to neutrino enthusiasts who seek to harness ML for signal hunting: Speaker: Jean-François Arguin, Université de Montréal Title: Broadening the Search for New Physics at the Large Hadron Collider with Machine Learning C U This Friday at 1:00 pm, T
