Attention early career scientists!

URA launched its Science Policy & Advocacy for Research Competition (SPARC) program at Fermilab. Through this collaboration, URA and Fermilab seek to enhance awareness of the science communication and policy engagement process for early career scientists to help bridge the gap between science and the public.

Over a 12-week period, students conducting research at Fermilab will engage virtually in active seminars with experts in science policy and communication. The program culminates in a competition with emerging champions visiting Washington D.C. for a Science Policy Summit.

More information and how to apply can be found hereThe application deadline is July 31, 2025.
