Dear Tuftons,

We will meet this Friday (November 8th) at our new usual start time of 12:30 pm.

As previously, sandwiches and cokes will be available for in-person attendees.

So far we have one Talk scheduled:

Neutrino-induced pions in MicroBooNE              Maxwell Ein

The microphone is open for additional presentations.

An interesting theory paper has just appeared in PRL suggesting that a

`from 1st principles’ theory calculation of the the form factors for

the weak interaction axial and pseudoscalar currents  CA3,4,5,6

is now at hand:

Nucleon-to-Δ Axial and Pseudoscalar Transition Form Factors

https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.133.131901

A symmetry-preserving approach to the calculation of baryon properties in relativistic quantum field theory is used to predict all form factors associated with nucleon-to-Δ axial and pseudoscalar transition currents, thereby unifying them with many additional properties of these and other baryons. The new parameter-free predictions can serve as credible benchmarks for use in analyzing existing and anticipated data from worldwide efforts focused on elucidation of 𝜈 properties.

The paper provides parametric expressions for the form factors which are

similar to previous phenomenological formulations.

C U this Friday !
