Re: (ET) sickle bar motor

What does "broken magnet" imply? The magnets on the Elec-trak deck motors and my vacuum blower are pretty easy to re-assemble and re-attach with JB-Weld and a set of spacers you can make out of wood. Just build some spacers cut and filed to shapes that press the magnets back into place, clean them up, apply good old JB Weld and you're back in business.

Gentlemen,I am trying to resurrect a Haban sickle bar attachment.  My immediate concern
is the motor.  It has a broken magnet and bad bearings.  Three different rebuild

this motor?  HP, rpms? GE serial/model number? Perhaps I could find a suitable substitute
or parts.2. Speaking with others it seems there are only a couple original motors around. Any
additional info on existing/surviving motors?3. The broken magnet seems the hardest puzzle
piece to solve. Any suggestions?Thank you for any input.
As an aside, I (my ElecTrak collection) was the cover story of "Vintage Tractor
Digest" magazine March/April 2025 issue. See attachment.
