Way back in the early days of ownership, I successfully replaced a worn
lower bearing in a mower motor. The next time, I darn near broke the
blade
mount puling it off.
Ever after I took my motors to a local auto electric shop for service. I
don't remember it being all that costly.
It's not for everyone, but it worked for me. They had the tools and
experience that I didn't, and if anything had gone wrong, I'd have had
someone else to blame. :-\
