Re: (ET) Field weakening

Maximum power is without any field weakening. Field weakening is used for lighter loads at higher speeds.

Being August, I'm assuming that the plowing involved is of dirt? A disc plow or similar? With the change in pulley ratio may need to use a lower gear when using ground-engaging implements like the plow. ie use LL if not already doing so.

Hi,
I updated my E-16 with an Altrax controller. I turned off the field
weakening as I did not like how sudden it engaged and disengaged. To get
the speed back up I also installed a .76 ratio cog belt drive as well.

I was doing some plowing and it seemed like the motor was working more
than it did in the past. In fact it kicked out the main thermal on the
drive motor. Now my question. Does the motor have more power with field
weakening enabled or just more speed? I want to come up with the best
combo when performing high drive motor loads.

Thanks
