I just wish I could find some kind of GE document or other resource that actually stated the current rating of these contactors.

My I-5, a CA version, also has the 6-bolt PTO contactor. Just a guess -- perhaps they figured no one would turn off the PTO when heavy work was being done, like running the snowthrower. And no one would turn it on with the snowthrower auger locked. Maybe...
