My son-in -law has been working on an E10M that I gave him.He purchased some parts, including a new drive belt.I am now trying to work the bugs out of it, and here's my problem.
The tractor seems fine on flat ground, but when you come to even a slight grade, the belt wants to slip. The belt seems to be awfully loose with the clutch disengaged. The strange part of this problem is that when you engage the clutch on flat ground, it still wants to keep creeping along. I've fooled with adjusting the clevis rod that is tied to the clutch, but nothing seems to help.
Bought this tractor used, so I would like to first verify a few things.
- Rear Pulley at Transaxle is 6" dia. x 1/2" wide belt width.
- Motor Pulley is 3" dia. x 5/8" wide belt width.
- Idler Pulley is 4" dia x 3/4" wide for top of belt to ride on.
- New 1/2" x ?? belt.
If all of the pulleys look correct, I'm out of idea's on how to correct this.
Any help would be appreciated;
