For shifting with the gears? Never thought there was a diff. I think 
early, it has the SCRs and all that I rebuilt awhile ago. The speed 3 
problem is the contactor, I can hear it trying to click and I see 36 
volts on the contactor coil when speed 3 is engaged but it's not cutting 
out. It does however lurch more with speed 3 disabled so I will have to 
buy a new contactor.
