(ET) Geof, what do we need to do to get you to change your mind? :-)
Hello All
First of all it is good to be wanted.
Second, Darryl you are correct it is the unit I talked you out of and I need
to get back at restoring it, However, it is too cold to paint right
now.,actually it just too cold.
Third Harold, I could have managed any other weekend this year. I would have
even forgone the Wheelhorse show, church picnic, or even my wedding
anniversary weekend to be there. But, I can't I, as part of the executive of
our club I am part of the show committee, and I like the rest of the show
committee have a number of critical functions and duties and as with most
volunteer things there are way more jobs than volunteers.
And yes I really like to come and point out the the Cubs guys that they had
a better product in 1974 than they have now. I can say this because I seen
and played with the new unit it at my local Toro/Wheelhorse Cadet dealer (my
happy place) the new Cub electric and Clearly I've been working in the Cub
Rider, which BTW is even better built and put together than the best of the
GE Elec-Traks, and I have a very high opinion of GE craftsmanship. The fit
and finish is amazing the welds are a thing of beauty and it is built like a
tank. As wrought as it was Darryl, I broke no bolts, and stripped no
threads taking it apart. I can see why old Internation Cubs are such prized
collectables.
Peace
