Re: (ET) Elec-trak Digest, Vol 11, Issue 77

Chad,
Go to an electrical supplier or a welding outlet like Airgas and ask for welder power line. You can get it in 30 to 50 amp sizes.

Putting together my rear tiller in preparation for some garden work. Unfortunately my tiller is minus the wiring. I was wondering if someone can tell me what the gauge is on the tiller PTO plug? The standard 50a range cords that i am seeing are 10awg. Seems small and just wanted to check.

From past experience, a 50A range cord should be 6 gauge wire. 10 gauge generally indicates a 30A dryer cord, which would probably be too small for the Tiller. I do not know the specs on it, but pretty sure it needs to be a 6 gauge, 50A cord.
