   I personally find the e-mail forum to be less user friendly.  
   Search capability is a huge help to me.

I don't want to get involved in a general forum vs. mailing list
debate, but you should know that the Elec-trak mailing list archives
(at http://cosmos.phy.tufts.edu/mhonarc/elec-trak/) are searchable.
