Hi RJ I know everyone is making fun of me with the wench. They
do work good pulling up the deck when you tell her. As long as you get one that
doe not talk to much. It does make it hard to see when she is sitting on the
hood.
Thank you for the pictures and insight. I will use this information.
The winch is the same one you have.
I plan to hook it with a heavy spring on the deck bracket to keep from
breaking it.

I did it for mine (winch not wench ; ). I took the snow blower mount, mig welded some 1/4" steel to it, extended it up. I use it to lift the snow blower, mowing deck, getting the tractor unstuck when doing something stupid, and pulling fence posts. As RJ notes, make sure you have discrete + and - connections. Most ATV winches should. The 2000Lbs winch I got from harbor freight has a +/- and a new up/down switch. Works ducky for the most part. While the manual says it has a holding load...it doesn't have much. The snow blower will get lower and lower if I drive around with it. A better model probably has a better "break". Be careful...you can rip the deck apart lifting with so much power. |
