(ET) Third string of BB600's online in my E20

Well, after spending several *days* clearing black crud out of my BB600 battery bolt-holes, I have managed to get thirty of them installed in a rear weight box and tied into my E20 tractor's electrical bus.

Cleaning the holes is a pain. I still have no idea what the gunk in there is, but it is strong enough to break hardened stainless bolts off. It is immune to brake cleaner and carburator cleaner (alcohol). The only thing that seems to dissolve it is water, squirted in with a syringe, followed by a 10/32 tap and then more water.

What a mess. But anyway it's all back together now with nickel interconnects, a 150a 10,000 AIR rated fuse in the middle of the pack, and ready to go for blowing snow. Tomorrow I'll make sure the batteries are topped up and then check the water levels.

Next project is going to be to install 30 cells in my E15 which I am using as a donkey-tractor.
