So in thinking about this, the best move might be to mount the motor 
horozontally, then mount the pump itself onto two pieces of angle iron, 
either welded to the frame at a 45 degree angle, or bolted with rubber 
shock mounts. That way the motor is supported, pump is supported, and 
the shaft loads are zero.

Something to look into tomorrow. First I have to get the motor pulley 
off....
