(ET) Seem to have lost speed 3 on New Idea 150

Hi,
I think I dropped speed 3. 
There are only 2 speeds in reverse as well.
It will go into the higher speeds (but still seems to skip 3) if the load 
is small, but its reluctant to go faster when blowing snow.
Power pulse button does not want to work either.

I have the Service manual for GE but I don't know if the 150 is the same 
as  any of the GE models. Maybe a E-16???
