Had some time to dig into my "fuel" gauge issue. I tested 40v across the terminals so the wiring is working. Pulled out the gauge, and opened it up. Blown resistor. Anybody know what the proper replacement is? Seems to be a carbon composition resistor with orange-black-red-gold bands. I used an online identification tool and it tells me it is a 3000 ohm +/- 5%. Is this correct? |
