Re: (ET) Who makes the best 6V golf cart batteries nowadays?
I've used US Battery for years and have been generally satisfied. They're
also sold as Interstate Workaholic brand.
I might be inclined to try East Penn, however, since I've also been very,
very pleased with their gel batteries in the ET, and their SLI batteries
in
ICEVs.
I don't recommend battery maintainers. In my experience they do more harm
than good. A battery left on float charge is good for about 3 years,
whether it's ever used or not.
Keep your batteries clean and dry and as cool as possible, and top them up
with a regular charger every 3 months or so. That's all that's necessary
or
desirable.
