Was just gifted a surplus rotary converter, probably 60 years old,built like a tank and looking unused.It's designed for 115DC@6.9A to 115AC@4.35A but has a few taps from125VAC down to 85VAC.

Any way to get it to run on 36VDC?
Would be nice to have a sine wave AC power source.
What would those other AC taps be used for?
