Re: (ET) Bill Gunn's Elec-Trak parts

That deal obviously fell through. [And I for one am glad. Otherwise all that inventory was headed out of the country.]

BTW what part of the Land Of Taxes did you escape from?I'm half way between Butler and Pittsburgh in Southeastern Butler County.

It has been a long time since I have commented to the list, but this caught
my eye. I'm curious....I seem to remember that Bill sold everything he had,
quite a while back, to some farmer in Jamaica. Did that fall through? Was
it
just a story to get out of the ET business, as I remember he was
considering? Anyway, I'm glad to hear that there has been an ET
resurrection
of sorts!

Greetings from Wisconsin!

Jim Coate from The Electric Tractor Store here. We are happy to announce that we are acquiring all the Elec-Trak parts and documentation from Bill Gunn's Technical Services company.

We are presently packing everything up and will post more details in the future. As it involves literally 2+ tractor trailer loads of various parts, it will take quite a while before every box is explored to know the full inventory.

I would also like to announce that I, my wife, and the business, are moving from upstate NY to the Charlottesville area of Virginia as my wife begins a new teaching job this fall. The timing means that most of the inventory will be in storage for a couple of months before I can even begin to examine it in detail.

During the transition time, I will be reviewing the documentation and replenishing stock of the more common items. The goal is to keep these fine tractors running for years to come - not just by lucky finds of new old stock, but with all needed parts in ongoing production. While there are no immediate plans to provide troubleshooting support, new parts will be listed on the website (www.electrictractorstore.com) as they become available.

Note that e-mail replies to the above address will not go through (anti-spam protection). If you want to contact me, use the "contact us" form on the website at http://electrictractorstore.com/index.php?main_page=contact_us and please keep in mind that I can not provide troubleshooting help/consulting or any specific information on parts not listed on the website at this time.

Regards,

Jim Coate
