Re: (ET) Elec-trak and tunes



Also, I would rotate those 2 batteries each year to try to keep the pack in balance.
I'm on my 9th year with Trojan T-105's, although they are just about shot.
Plan on replacing them in the next few weeks.

Thanks for all the ideas.   I just had a mind blank.  I completely forgot that cars use a 12v electrical system.

I built a box with car stereo, speakers, antenna, and mounted it behind the seat.

I just tapped off the same 2 batteries that power lights for 12V.

Just curious if anyone has a found a cheap solution for running some sort of radio/cd player off of the elec-trak’s dc power.     My wife and I were working in the yard and it would have been nice to have some music while we worked, but I didn’t want to deal with digging out batteries for our portable radio.    I don’t have an AC inverter for the tractor, which I know would be one solution.
