I wouldn't pay that.  

IMO, a fully restored E15 or E20 with good batteries might be worth what 
you 
quote.   A working tractor with dull paint, perhaps light rust, wear on 
the 
seat, etc.and old batteries might bring $400 or $500 (up from $250 or $300 
a 
few years ago).  A mower deck in nice shape would go for maybe $150.  

A C185 is essentially an E20 so it might be worth a bit more.  An E12 / 
E14 
/ E16 would be worth a bit less.  In general, ET prices will be higher 
when 
gasoline is expensive, and lower when gasoline is cheaper.  There's also 
some regional variation.

BTW, I see that an E12M (no deck) went for $255 on Ebay not long ago (item 
#290040037690).
