Ahhhhhhh.

I didn't know that.  I'm used to the idea of logging in to post comments 
on 
forums, but not to just read a site.  I could read forum posts, so I 
assumed 
that I was just not looking in the right place for the other stuff.

Now that you mention it, the text at the top of the page suggests that 
too.  
 It just didn't quite hit me before, though.  I wonder why not?
