(ET) Stuck steering wheel.

"I have a Wheel Horse B-145 that I need to pull the steering wheel off of.
I
removed the roll pin just below the wheel and through the steering column.
I
have sprayed several rust desolving sprays on it. I tried a wheel puller
even. I would like to remove it so that I can remove the dash to access the
wiring better behind the dash. I would appreciate any help in the removal
of
the steering wheel.
Thanks,
Ron in Michigan"

Been there done that. They can be really stuck I take mine to a local
machine shop and they press it out with and extremely big press, sometime
they even have to drill a 1/2' whole in the steering shaft relieve the
pressure in the press. In short they can be really stuck on.
Or you can remove the wheel and the column your self if you are prepared to
do a bit of a surgery, Here how

1.) remove the Gauges and the Dashboard (it will still be around the
steering column)
2.) in the area where the gauges sit cut away enough of the Aluminium on
each side to the steering column to allow the column to be moved to the
hole
for the gauge
3) unbolt the column mount and lift the column out through the gauge whole

When you re-assemble it the dash will cover the hole.

I can send you a picture if you need it.
