Even with the price increase if you go to a welding shop they often have a box of ends that are good for our use at discount or free..........

I don't think it's that critical. For the high current wiring, #4 welding cable should be fine. Be prepared for a shock (groan) - copper prices have
shot through the roof in the last couple of years.

For the control wiring, go to a boneyard and rip great chunks of wiring
harness out of a car or truck.
