Re: (ET) refinishing my "new" E15

If there's a stripper service in your area you might want to consider it.
These are the guys with bug heated tanks of degreaser/stripper, rinse, and
metal conditioner that Hot Rodders use when rebuilding old automobiles.
I've used them to remove and prep heavy duty steel tables in the past. If
you strip the tractor to it's metal parts, they will do the rest
delivering back to you a wonderful ready for repair and repaint chassis.
Then all you have to do is reinstall ALL of the electrics.

Steve,
Thanks for the tips. Since the rust/paint removal wheel attached
to a power drill hasn't been working that well, I may borrow a grinder
from our machine shop here to try, with a wire brush wheel. I quickly
realized I should wear safety goggles about 10 seconds into the paint
stripping process, when I saw paint chips shooting around. :)
The motors (and blades) won't be in the mower deck when I clean
and paint it, so I shouldn't need to worry about water getting into the
motors.

Thanks,
Mike
