(ET) Which is it? assistance needed:-) Garden Pulling with the E20 or EGT 200

Thanks for the comment (below) Maybe some more help is needed here.- I may have just the wrong hood/insignia. (the hood insiginia say Avco New Idea EGT 200)

 

I previously (1975) had an E20 - this tractor (which has parts from several scrap units) is different than the E20.

 

1) Longer than E20 wheelbase- looks like could take mid mount mower as well as the front mount deck I am using. Also, the footrests do not drop below the flat part of the main deck like on an E20.

 

2) There are 2 resistor speeds, then direct connection + field weakening speeds. My E20 had 3 speeds on resistor and direct connection + field weakening.

 

3) Cruise control uses direct connection or 1st field weakening speed via a toggle switch.

 

I am not familiar with the differences between the GEs and the units sold by others, are they substantial?

If you have a EGT-200 it is a E-20 equivalent, not a E-15.
