Same thing I use in the E15 - East Penn Deka 8G24 gel batteries - but in a 
single series string instead of series-parallel.  They can't be charged 
with 
the stock GE charger, though.  

I use these batteries mostly because I happen to have a lot of them lying 
around.  Otherwise I might use East Penn 8G27s instead for more capacity.

I like these Deka Dominators a lot.  If properly charged, they seem to 
last 
a very long time.  Being VRR batteries, they never puke up electrolyte.
