         You could try that. Bear in mind that all the contactor and relay 
coils are fed by this fuse, and the draw may add up to more than you think, 
especially the inrush current on the larger coils.
     One way to puzzle it out would be to replace the fuse with an ammeter 
and watch.{ And THAT would be the time  that something would decide to go 
REALLY wrong. :(    }
