I thought I answered this one before, but maybe I was imagining things.  

I have an Alltrax, and I open the main disconnect when I charge.  However,

use three offboard chargers for my six 12 volt gel batteries.  It may be 
that 
the internal charger goes THROUGH the disconnect.  It's been so long since 
I used it that I don't remember.

The hazard to the Alltrax is partly to its control circuitry.  I'll try to 
remember 
to check my diagram in the next day or so, and see what has to be done to 
use the onboard ET charger with it.
