BTW that
lousy edge card connector can lose its tension, and cause all sorts of problems
that defy description.

Subject: (ET) E20 - #4 card
I recently tried
to rebuild a #4 card from an E20 tractor with interesting results. I
replaced all the diodes on the original board, both the big & little
ones. Checked that all traces were good to and from diodes and other
components. Plugged card into connector and now the tractor is behaving
oddly. In forward position I only have 3 speeds now, in reverse I have 6
plus cruise setting? I have checked and rechecked all connections and
components, but can't figure out what has happened to cause the reversal of
dirctions. My next step will be to replace the resistors and the two
ic's on board. Does anyone know what the 2 components Q401 &
Q402 are called, and what type(s) are they?
Thanks,
Bob
