(ET) Mower deck motors

Title: Message
I learned a valuable lesson this weekend when out mowing my property.  I had 2 deck motors that were constantly cutting out after 5 minutes usage.  The thermal breaker was apparantely working too well and I thought, hey, why not just bypass this and continue mowing.  I thought yes, I now can finish the job without having to stop and wait for the breakers to reset, bad mistake made.  I did almost manage to finish mowing the 2 remaining acres when I started to hear a funny noise coming from one of the motors.  It didn't take too long before smoke began to rear its ugly head and I had to head back to the garage pronto.  What had happended was the insulating wire melted from one of the motor brushes and broke the wire in the process.  I had a spare deck so I managed to repair the one motor, but I suspect the same thing has happened to the other one, as it also will not run.  My question is, do these breakers have different levels of sensitivity?  My third motor is still working like a charm with the breaker wired properly and has never cut out on me!  Lesson learned from this is that I will soon be contacting Harold Z. for a replacement motor or two.
