(ET) newbie

Hello all, 

I have been lurking on the site for a while to find out about going
electric.  I have been interested for a number of years but haven't done
much about it.  

I am interested in  mower and plow and/or snowblower.  I live in a suburb
of Cleveland so multiple capability would be good.  Based on the site
though I don't have a feeling for how reliable the machines are.  Granted
on this site everyone talks about what they are trying to fix.  Or
improve.  Is the site a good representation of the time required for the
machines?

Does anybody know of any machines for sale that don't need a lot of work.
 I don't mind maintenance but not necessarily the first day.  Anybody
have any machine in the area of Cleveland that I might inspect to see
what I am getting into?

Any advice would be helpful
