How about water from the dehumidifier if it is filtered?
Just buy water from your supermarket. Every iron in the universe uses distilled water; should be under a buck a gallon.
It's just not worth it to toast your batteries with less. Oh, and get a solar charger; I need to water only once a year plus the times I am blowing snow and charging with the onboard. :-)
