Re: (ET) All fixed

Not many things are still 'on' with the PD open. One of the most common" gone to ground" components is my favorite, the lift motor.{Hint, the lift motor is still 'on' when the PD is 'open'. } Lighting wiring, toasted by the armature resistors, is another 'hot' item. Think of the double contactor replacement as an occupational therapy exercise. Increases dexterity. <G>

Swapped out the contactor pair with a spare set and the tractor is working perfectly again. I'd still like to find that other ground fault though; any suggestions on how to track one down? The only clue is that it's there even with the main disconnect off, and it's pretty persistient.

Another thought: Pulling those contactors is a real 14 karat pain. However I do like the fact that one can fix just about anything on a contactor based elec-trak with a meter and a set of wrenches.
