Re: (ET) Strap repairs - sewing machine

I use a Walking Foot (light Industrial) sewing machine. It sews leather,
heavy vinyl (Electrak Seats), heavy flat strap nylon dog leashes (frequent
repair, due to chewing through), nylon car tow straps, and of course,
ElecTrak lift straps (and other sewing, but it is overkill for lighter
stuff, and does not have Zig-Zag stitches, etc)

Price was a drawback - about $450 (new). Brand name is: Thompson Portable
Walking Foot Sewing machine Model PW-400 (401?), or something like that.

I have one of those hand stitching awls also. When the power goes out, I
might use it. :>) . . . (actually, I would run my UPS/Inverter from
Electrak batteries, to power the sewing machine).

If I did not have the sewing machine, the awl would be pretty good.
