Well, not the big PTO (it's shorted if the contactor isn't drawn in) but 
you can use the smaller accessory take-off to do your charging.

You even have a circuit breaker and disconnect protecting the pack, so 
it's NEC compatible :-)

I have been using it for the last 2 years now to solar-charge my 
tractor. Only problem is eventually I will have to replace the receptacle.
