The maximum current depends a lot on things like the state of charge, the batery's age, temperature, etc. On handy rule of thumb is that each 6-volt battery shouldn't go below 1.75 volts per cell which is 5.25 Volts for the battery (or 31.5 Volts for the pack, *if* it is well-balanced).
