Actually, I'm
not surprised. I've been to his shop twice (three if you count the time he
was at the dentist
and wasn't
in) but I've never seen large numbers of parts. Might be in another
building. Any clue why
he isn't
willing to sell the 6000 (not yet filed or organized!) drawings? And
the jigs, molds, etc? I think
someone
(might even have been Bill) told be he originally won the high bid for this for
a 'song' back
when nobody
cared. Now the new (and I suppose, used) parts go to Costa-Rica as a
garage sale deal.
He always
said he needed to keep one of everything just in case there was a question about
how
something fit
together or a print was wrong. So there just won't be a set necessary for
'production'.
I far prefer
someone actually trying to build and MARKET a product, and Bill never really did
that. That
is worth
investing in... stock investment. Yes, you could sell a few of those as a
badged Lowes or Home
Depot
electric, make money and make a difference. I know people who do this sort
of thing, and Bill is
not that type
of a guy.
