a sleeve hitch, is like what you see on a truck or a larger tractor. the 
ball 
is on a piece of square stock that slides into the "receiver" and held in 
place with a pin.  they nice because they can be removed easily and are 
out 
of the way which can be a real shin saver.  
that's what I think it is anyways...
